This online lecture covers the different types of composites available and how their selection will affect final finish and polish. We'll review a step-by step process to place, finish, and polish composite restorations efficiently, resulting in restorations that blend seamlessly into the natural dentition.
Learning Objectives: After this lecture, the viewer should
Understand the different compositions of routinely used composites available today
Identify composites best used for different increments when layering a composite veneer
Understand a step by step process to evaluate line angles and create anatomical contours consistent with nature
Finish and polish composite restorations using a variety of tools and instruments available today.
About the Presenter:
Dr. Camille Zelen grew up in Maplewood, MN. She attended undergraduate school at the University of North Dakota on a swimming scholarship. After graduating with a bachelor of science in nursing, Dr. Zelen worked as an interventional cardiac care nurse for a few years before going on to pursue her goal of becoming a dentist.
She attended Creighton University Dental School in Omaha, Nebraska. Upon graduation, Dr. Zelen had an opportunity to work in an advanced cosmetic dental office before relocating back to Minnesota in 2009 to be close to family.
