Course Synopsis:
This program will fulfill the first two workshop requirements of the AACD Accreditation process. Drs. Olson and Finlay provide an overview of the credentialing process, requirements, and resources to assist dental professionals in achieving excellence. We address the clinical exam process and the criteria that serve as the foundation in the evaluation of cases.
Learning Objectives:
Identify the requirements for the AACD credential
Understand the criteria used in clinical exams to evaluate cases
Create a perspective of excellence and how cases may fall above or below that standard
Appreciate and understand the role of mentors in the credentialing process
Presenters:
Scott Finlay, DDS, FAACD, earned his DDS degree in 1982 from the University of Maryland, Baltimore College of Dental Surgery. He is an Accredited Fellow Member of the AACD, is Senior Faculty for the Dawson Academy, and maintains a private practice located in Annapolis, MD.
Bradley Olson, DDS, FAACD, earned his DDS degree in 1983 from the University of Maryland and is an Accredited Fellow Member of the AACD. He maintains a private practice located in Waldorf, MD.
